The first "beta" installation of a window replacing the door on the 2nd bedroom. This meets all applicable fire codes and offers natural light and a more pleasing look for the smallest bedroom. It is part of the 2010/11 renovation plan.

Exterior View:

The change makes the hallway entrances look more traditional (stucco work will be completed as we move along on the trial installation in the second model room).

Interior Views:

From the small bedroom we finally get some natural light in the room as well as a more standard look and feel vs a locked, blank door.

We already have window treatments (currently covering the door)that will offer privacy when needed for the new windows as they are installed.

This trial install is in the second model unit. The plan is to utilize the annual maintenance week in 2009 for 12 units at a time to accomplish this unit upgrade. Other preliminary work planned for the 2010/11 renovation may also be scheduled at the same time. We need to be very aware of unit down time throughout the process as occupancy is running at all time highs due in large part to our very successful collection percentage.

This window installation and the addition of the master bathroom doors are basic design changes that will add to the value and looks of every unit at Cypress Pointe Resort. As they can be accomplished without other renovation work we are moving ahead with them in 2009 and may add other improvements before the main renovation kicks off. Watch here for more updates.

SOME ADDITIONAL PROGRESS 1/24/09:
