4/25/08 - Work progresses in the Cafe.

Soon this will be our Cafe! Doesn't look like much now.

Over on the office side the walls are getting changed.

Back on the Cafe side. It's good they have plans.

Meanwhile out in the resort the lightning protection installation is underway

Three poles are to be installed with lightning arresters.

The original plan was to roof mount them however that would have compromised the new roof systems so we changed to pole mounts.

They will be mounted in the landscaping and won't be particularly noticeable.

Good thing we haven't repaved the parking areas yet.

Cypress Pointe Grande Villas also plans to install this protection.

That will help increase the coverage area around both resorts.

For many years we have had numerous issues with lightning strikes that damage electronics and could be dangerous to guests.

With the new metal roofs it was considered to be a priority to install serious lightning protection equipment.
