6/6/11 - A few updated shots of the slow progress on the play area and 2nd Floor Clubhouse windows.

Waiting for the installation of the new storm drainage system to allow the finishing touches to the new play area.

The assembly of the equipment is basically complete.

Climbing dome.

Work on the new windows and doors continues on the Clubhouse.

The railings had to be removed for repair and realignment

6/14/2011 Update -

Thick, weather proof padding, much like carpet padding, gets installed around all of the play equipment.

All equipment is placed to meet the latest clearance required for safety

The final surface will be the artificial turf that will look good and require minimal maintenance

The product is installed much like a wall to wall carpet

The artificial turf will hold up to kids play and allow for a more forgiving surface than natural grass or other surfaces.

With the turf installed we will be close to the end of the project

Update 6/16/11 - More "carpet" installation

This is the pebble mixture that is swept into the "grass" to keep it standing up

Spreading the pebble mixture

First look at the new pathway from the hot tub area to the new seating/play area behind the pool house. Exsisting fence will be opened up for access.

6/22/11 We're not done yet but it's edging ever so close

The final landscaping work is underway near the new seating and Dinosaur Play area. This is the new path from the hot tub area. Also new kids swing in view.

The new plants lined up ready for installation. The grass came out looking really good!

Close up of new landscaping that will tie in with existing by the Pool House & Hot Tub. Section of white fence at top right to be removed for opening.

A look at one side of the relocated sand volleyball court. Note all the new plants to separate the sand area from the pool deck/walkways to the new Play area. Volcano can be seen in upper left.

Opposite side of relocated sand volleyball. Again all new plantings between walkway & RALPH Building.

The new sitting area / pavers and extension toward sand volleyball court. More new landscape plantings. Sprinkler system had to be extended to service this area and the remainder of the new play area.

Lower right has new plantings installed - other plants await install. This is the area nearest the white fence that borders Lake St. An ornamental metal fence to match the existing pool fencing is on order to be installed ASAP.
