The "Club" Myth

For a number of months the HOA Board has been hearing that owners who choose to attend the breakfast meeting with a Diamond representative have been told that they MUST join The Club points system, at additional cost, or risk losing the use rights they have at the resort.

THIS IS NOT TRUE!

Membership in The Club system is an option that any of our owners can choose but is NOT required to continue to enjoy your week at Cypress Pointe or to trade your week for another through RCI, II or an independent trade company. As you were promised when you purchased Cypress Pointe Phase I owners have a deeded week of ownership (some owners have every other year weeks) that you can enjoy forever.

The Club is an option that could be valuable if your vacation style needs to be more flexible than a 7 day trip to one location allows. There is an extra cost involved to join and a small annual fee. The Club system is run by Diamond Resorts, not the Phase I HOA. It is possible that membership in the Club system may require purchase of additional timeshare weeks or a change in the deeded week you own. Those requirements are set and can be modified by Diamond.

The Cypress Pointe Phase I HOA has no recommendation to our owners about joining The Club system. It may be a good value to some owners while others do not need the features the Club offers. This statement is only to make it clear that at no time has it been required that you join The Club - or RCI - in order to use your purchased week at Cypress Pointe resort. If anyone attempts to tell you that Club membership is or will be required PLEASE notify your Cypress Pointe HOA immediately with the name of that person.
