Personal Biographies

Directions: The following information is for your benefit. The candidates have submitted this information so that you may see their qualification and their future direction for our Resort. * Indicates Incumbents.


Name: *Stuart D. ("Stu") Schwartz

Interval Week(s) owned: Unit 7101, Week 50

Education: American University, Washington, DC B.S.B.A, Accounting and Marketing. Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison, NJ M.B.A. Finance. Weichert Academy, Morris Plains, NJ Graduate/Licensed Realtor - Associate.

Qualifying Experience: Over 20 years of career financial management experience with public and private companies, served as CFO, VP-Finance, Accounting Officer, and Professional Tax Advisor. Serving on the current CPR Board as appointed Director and its elected Treasurer. Fully supported and involved with the hiring of the new management company for our Resort. Spending, on average, 10 or more hours a week on CPR-related business. Knowledgeable about Real Estate as a practicing/licensed Realtor-Associate. Served as volunteer President and Budget Chairman for Municipal Library for 9 years. Served as a Zone Chairman, past President and Treasurer for Lions Club/Zone; 25 year member.

Objective as a Director: Return CPR as the destination of choice for owners and exchangers in the Orlando, FL area. Obtain Five-star rating from Interval International and regain Gold Crown status from RCI. Continue close scrutiny of CPR collections, operating and reserve budgets to ensure fiscally responsible management, and insure the future viability of our Resort. Stabilize annual operating maintenance fees. Continue to enhance hospitality and quality of stay by updating CPR infrastructure. Includes: Bringing state-of-the-art multi-line telephone and expanded cable TV service, as well as high-speed internet access to each unit; and resurfacing the Volcano pool deck with a beautifying and functional 25-year life paver system.



Name: William W. Hutchinson

Qualifying Experience: Effective project manager and team player. Contract management of new class of destroyer. Plan and coordinate ship design and equipment. Travel consultant for government personnel. Involved and owned timeshares for over 20 years.

Objective as a Director: My objectives after being elected to the Board of Directors will be to review what has developed recently concerning timeshare ownership; new management company; and are assessments being utilized in the owner's best interest. Provide all the timeshare owners with high quality properties they will be proud to own.


 


Name: *Don Wilks

Education: Oregon State University, BS in Business Administration. George Washington University, MBA in Finance. US Army, Command and General Staff College.

Qualifying Experience: The best experience in any field is to actually do the job in question. You elected me to the original Board of Directors and I have represented you for four years now. I am the only Board member who lives in the general proximity (70 miles away) of Cypress Pointe Resort. This has proven invaluable to the Board and to you as an owner. During the recent change in management companies a Transition Committee was established to insure a smooth transition. I represented you and the Board on that Committee, attending weekly meetings throughout the transition. In addition, I have made many unscheduled trips to the resort on matter such as the reserve analysis, painting of buildings, refurbishment, check-in/check-out procedures, and a multitude of others. In my judgment, it is absolutely mandatory to have an experienced Board member living within commuting distance of the resort. My retirement, after a 30 year military career, provides the time to undertake these endeavors.

Objective as a Director: I see and support five overriding objectives that are necessary for the continuing health and productivity of our resort. 1. Regain and retain Gold Crown status from RCI. 2. Maintain financial stability now that a new management company is at the helm. 3. Continue the physical upgrades and improvements at the resort. 4. Ensure that our owners are represented in a manner that will make them proud of their Board of Directors and their Resort. 5. Reestablish Cypress Pointe as the premier Resort in the Orlando area. These are the objectives that have driven your current Board and it is my promise and intention that they will continue to be foremost in our minds as we meet the challenges ahead. I have the experience, the expertise, the time, and the desire to make our dreams come true. I ask for your vote.
