Welcome
to the newly redesigned Cypress Pointe Resort HOA website.
This site has
been updated for our owners and guests to help them learn
about the friendliest and most convenient luxury resorts
in
Orlando. It has been a very busy time since the original
Cypress Pointe HOA website was introduced back in December
2000. At
that time there were major challenges to overcome and changes
being planned that are now being fully realized. As we
head into
2004
we are
looking
forward to a $5 million total unit renovation over
15 months that will upgrade our rooms to a level better
than new. But first some other news.
With
this third version of the Association web site we celebrate
a rebirth at Cypress Pointe Resort. As all our owners are
too well aware there was a major funding crisis that had
to be handled in May 2001 simply to keep the resort a viable
operation. With the help and understanding of every owner
we were able to have an extremely successful assessment
that has now allowed us to tackle the serious concerns
at the resort.
This
time the need is for a return to a financially sound, renovated
and updated resort that owners can be proud of. Starting
in January 2004 approximately one third of the units will
be taken off line, stripped to the bare walls and renovated
to better than new condition. Once complete owners and
guests will be welcomed to a bright new look that returns
the units to the Carribean theme lost in earlier work as
well as many new features that can compete with the newest
resorts of today.
Whats
new:
- All
new appliance package with a glass top range, new stacked
washer/dryer, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher
- New
HDTV ready flat screen television with DVD/Surround sound
sound systems in the living room
- Custom
entertainment centers for all televisions
- Pineapple
themed furnishings in hard woods and granite surfaces
- Bright
new fabrics and colors throughout
- Small
microwave and refrigerator in the "B" lock
off units
- Exterior
painting of all buildings
And
much more.
In
February 2003 we were joined by our sister resort - Cypress
Pointe II, as
an owner controlled resort with an elected Board of Directors.
This important step means the two resorts are able to act
in
the best
interest of the owners that pay to operate and maintain
them. Many outsiders see Cypress Pointe as one resort and
we do
share
the common
elements such as the pools and Clubhouse. However, there
are actually two Associations each with it's own Board
of Directors. The two resorts operate independently and
each
has it's
own RCI/II code and the unit features are different. Those
differences make each resort a unique experience for guests.

As
the two resorts are often seen as one the two web sites
have been made similar as well. While each has it's own
owners area and unique content shared details are now common
to both sites. Much as the two Associations work together
to offer the best resort experience in Orlando so will
the web sites offer the best in information for every owner
and guest.
Cypress
Pointe Resort looks forward to a return to it's status
