Update on Selling Your Week

As time goes by some owners are looking to sell their Cypress Pointe ownerships due to life changes. To aid in that process the resort has a "For Sale by Owner" listing here on the web site.

However, selling any timeshare can be hard to do as you are competing with not only other Cypress Pointe sellers but all other resorts in Orlando as well as around the country for a limited number of buyers. The process can be slow and sometimes owners just have to get out of any future fees due. Unfortunately some rather unscrupulous companies know that and take advantage of the situation. They will offer to "relieve you of your impossible to sell timeshare" for the one time charge of 5 years of fees or $3500+ as a "service" to you. They often contact you by searching the local records for owners name and sending out a postcard asking if you want to get out from under your timeshare. They set up shop for a day or two in a local hotel. They actually have you PAY them to take your timeshare which they then turn around and sell on eBay or to a wholesaler for very little. Why not - you paid them to take it!

If that is the case and you feel you are so desperate to be rid of your timeshare that you are willing to pay someone to take it PLEASE contact the resort first. It is the opinion of the Association Board that anyone who asks you for thousands of dollars to take your Cypress Pointe timeshare is ripping you off.
